Huntsville offers numerous areas where you're sure to find excellent bargains, all of today’s fashions and of course, the other items you need. If you live in the Huntsville area, try a new shopping center for a fresh experience.

If you're just passing through, you'll find a variety of shopping opportunities available to you throughout the city. When it comes to shopping in Huntsville, you'll find retail outlets throughout the city.

In the metropolitan area that surrounds the downtown region, strip malls are available for most everyday needs including groceries and banking.

Do check out the downtown Huntsville area, too. This area is very popular among college aged kids because it's near the numerous universities in the area. However, there are some upscale areas to explore here, too.

The Malls

Perhaps the most popular shopping option is the Madison Square Mall. It was build in 1984 and has many of the popular department stores within it. This mall is the largest available in the city with more than 932,000 square feet. It's located on University Drive and Research Park Blvd. It offers numerous restaurants, big name outlets and many smaller shops and stores.

Parkway Place is another shopping area. This newer mall was built in 2002. It's on the site of the old Parkway City Mall. These options will help you find clothing stores, boutiques, house wares and even some upscale locations. You can be confident that these malls have what you're looking for.

Other Options

If you're looking for other ways to spend some time shopping in Huntsville, consider visiting the lifestyle center. It's called Bridge Street Town Centre and has become the focal point of the city. This new shopping and lifestyle area is located within Cummings Research Park.

The Constellation shopping area will be available soon. Opening in 2011, this location is being constructed on the former site of the Heart of Huntsville Mall. The center will be multi-functional and will contain trendy shops, dining and much more.
